Marana sits in the Sonoran Desert northwest of Tucson, and the soil here creates a specific challenge for concrete.
Much of the area has caliche — a dense hardpan layer of calcium carbonate that forms naturally in desert soils. Caliche blocks drainage. When water can't percolate down through the soil, it moves laterally instead, eroding the base material beneath concrete slabs and causing them to settle unevenly. That process, combined with the wet-dry cycling of monsoon season, is behind most of the concrete settlement we see in Marana.
Concrete lifting addresses the problem directly. We drill small access holes through the settled slab, inject material beneath it to fill the void and raise the concrete back to grade, then seal the holes. The work is done in hours. The slab is usable the same day. Cost is typically 50–70% of full replacement, and the result is permanent.
We'll assess the slab and tell you honestly whether lifting is the right call — most settled slabs that are still structurally intact qualify. Call 520-677-4967 or fill out the form for a free assessment.
Settled driveway sections create drainage problems and vehicle clearance issues at the garage approach. We lift settled sections back to grade. If settlement caused cracking, concrete repair can address cracks alongside or after leveling.
A patio or walkway that has settled toward the house is channeling water at your foundation instead of away from it. We level settled slabs and restore correct drainage slope.
Trip hazards at expansion joints — where one panel has settled lower than the adjacent one — are among the most common issues we address in Marana's newer subdivisions. We lift panels back to matching grade.
Garage slabs that have settled at the door approach collect water and create an interior drainage problem. We lift and level the approach section.
Settled concrete adjacent to your home — walkways, landing slabs, patio edges — that now slopes toward the foundation is one of the most straightforward moisture problems to fix. Lifting it back to positive drainage away from the house addresses the issue before it compounds.
Small access holes are drilled through the slab. Lifting material is injected beneath it, filling the void and applying upward pressure to restore grade. Holes are patched. The slab is usable immediately. The material is permanent — it doesn't compress, wash out, or settle over time. And unlike replacement, it addresses the void beneath the slab rather than just pouring new concrete on top of the same problem.
We serve Marana and surrounding areas including Dove Mountain, Gladden Farms, Continental Ranch, Tangerine Road corridor, and surrounding neighborhoods.
